Barbara Gowan is a native of Springfield, MA. She has been featured in several articles including those on the topics of nursing and adoption and interviewed most recently by a New York Times reporter. Her perspective was included in the book, Fade by Elliot Lewis. She has a passion for educating others in the areas of health education as well as on the topics of race, religion and adoption. She participates in adoption forums and panels and will be a presenter at the AAC Adoption Conference for the second time in 2009.
